For such a transaction to take place, all one needs is an ATM card that is unique for each individual. This card contains a unique card number and the only way that one can access the account is by entering a unique PIN (personal identification number).

Just like any other business, the location for an ATM machine is a major factor to consider before setting up one. An ATM can be placed almost everywhere and not necessarily inside a bank. Locations such as shopping malls, restaurants, petrol stations, or airports are just some few places where ATM machine business can boom. Incase a machine fails; the rental company has the responsibility of fixing it and this is advantageous to you since the repair cost is very expensive. You save much more money by renting an ATM machine as opposed to buying on for yourself.

Also, make sure that you keep the ATM stocked. The only way the ATM can make money for you is by ensuring that it is well stocked. Once people realize your ATM rarely has money then they are discouraged form withdrawing even when it is stocked. However, you should only stock the ATM with the amount of money you need and avoid overstocking the machine.

Another point to consider is what type of ATM to choose for your business. There exist various types of ATM machines. You should come up with the most appropriate machine for your business depending on the amount of traffic and your location. Also, the ATM you choose should consider the space you have available. The most popular design is the freestanding model. This is because they provide the most flexibility in placement. Although they are popular, they require a lot of room. As for the countertop models, they are most appropriate for limited space. Lastly we have through-the-wall machines that don’t take up any floor space. They are however very difficult to install.
